Radiologie Baden-Baden is the first center in the Central Baden region to install a SIEMENS Edge for its patients. We deliberately chose this top-of-the-line high-end spiral CT scanner. By using newly developed post-processing tools and reconstructions such as SAFIRE and ADMIRE, the SIEMENS Edge can achieve a further dose reduction of up to 60% while offering higher speed (rotation time 0.28 seconds) compared to similar devices on the market. This enables razor-sharp images, even with fast-moving organs such as the heart, to make an optimal diagnosis for the patient.

A new detector system (Stellar Detector) enables dual energy imaging, i.e., this detector allows high and low kV acquisition simultaneously. High-contrast images with even higher resolution are thus possible for many applications and are a unique feature of this high-end CT scanner.

In the field of image artifact reduction caused by implants, e.g., bone fractures or dental implants (dental CT), the use of additional post-processing tools such as iMAR (iterative metal artifact reduction) can significantly improve image quality and thus the diagnostic information provided.
