Our mission statement
Our practice consistently bases its actions on clearly defined values that guide us in our daily interactions and work. The focus is primarily on respect and mutual trust, as this is the only way to establish a good relationship between patients and the practice team.
We also place great importance on high professional standards in order to best meet the individual needs and expectations of our patients. Below you will find our most important guiding principles, which illustrate the principles that determine our actions and what we stand for in our practice.
Our work focuses on the patient who comes to us with a request or need for help. We take time for each individual and their concerns. As far as possible, we discuss each examination we perform with the patient afterwards to clarify any open questions and ensure that there is a common understanding of the next steps.
Our practice offers long and continuous opening hours. This is to ensure that all patients—including families and working people with busy schedules—can get an appointment with us at short notice. It is particularly important to us that emergencies are examined as quickly as possible and without delay.
We attach great importance to creating a calm and trusting atmosphere in our practice. We want every patient to feel that we take their problems seriously and that their personal well-being is important to us. Our staff always adhere to ethical principles and respect the sovereignty and self-determination of each patient.
A friendly and respectful tone is the basis for a pleasant working atmosphere. Openness, transparency, and humanity characterize our daily interactions at the practice. In this way, we aim not only to improve the working environment, but also to strengthen the trust of our patients. The doctors at our practice actively support their employees and promote their professional and personal development. This is also achieved by delegating responsibility so that each employee can develop further and make the best possible use of their skills. Regular team meetings are an integral part of our work to continuously improve cooperation. They also ensure that all employees are informed promptly about important changes and new processes. This enables us to work together efficiently and in a coordinated manner.
For us, continuous training and further education are important prerequisites for ensuring the consistently high quality of our work. We have Q2 certifications from the German Radiological Society in all areas currently available (musculoskeletal radiology, prostate, cardiac imaging). We are one of the few practices in the region that can offer MRI of the prostate according to PI-RADS 2.1 to patients with statutory health insurance whose health insurance companies are participants in corresponding selective contracts.
Only through regular learning and development can we ensure that we always provide our patients with the best possible care.
In our collaboration with partners in the healthcare sector, we value honesty and mutual trust. We maintain open cooperation with colleagues from all disciplines. When our professional advice is sought, we support these partners with our full energy and commitment.
Our practice is a freelance business that must be managed economically. That is why we attach great importance to the conscious use of available resources. Through careful cost management, we ensure that we can continue to offer high-quality care in the long term.
Research and teaching
Individual physicians are regularly involved in teaching at the university hospitals in Heidelberg and Aachen, as well as at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) in Heidelberg. These close collaborations and teaching activities ensure that the latest developments in medicine and technology are quickly transferred to our practice for the benefit of our patients.
This enables us to offer our patients the latest developments in a timely manner. Details can be found under the individual doctors. Some of our employees are involved in teaching practice management training courses.
collaborations
Close cooperation with our referring physicians is very important to us in order to jointly select the appropriate diagnostics and, if necessary, therapy for patients.
As radiologists and nuclear medicine specialists, we are referral-based, i.e., we only perform diagnostics on referral from our referring colleagues. Self-referrals are not possible for radiologists and nuclear medicine specialists, which means that there is no risk of unnecessary examinations being performed on patients in a radiology and nuclear medicine practice.
This optimal independence between diagnostics (provided by us) and therapy (provided by the referring physician) means that patients can rest assured that only those procedures that are truly necessary and relevant to their treatment will be performed. Diagnostics are carried out by an experienced team of radiology and nuclear medicine experts who oversee and offer the entire spectrum of diagnostic services and can also provide independent advice if necessary.
