Current data from large-scale studies on thyroid disorders (Papillon studies) show that up to 40% of those examined had abnormal thyroid findings with nodular changes or enlargement of the thyroid gland. In addition, the latest research figures show an increase in malignant thyroid tumors. Thyroid disorders are therefore common without always causing immediate clinical symptoms.
To further improve the care of patients with thyroid disorders and to clarify and discuss unclear thyroid findings, the practice offers special thyroid consultation hours. Sonographic, thyroid scintigraphic, clinical, and, if necessary, laboratory chemical examinations of the thyroid can be offered during these consultation hours. This is followed by a detailed discussion of the findings.
