  • Early detection Cardiac diagnostics

Modern imaging techniques in cardiac diagnostics are capable of detecting CHD at an early stage, among other things.

Cardiovascular diseases have been the leading cause of death in Europe for years. Modern radiological and nuclear medicine methods of cardiac imaging are non-invasive and capable of detecting diseases at a very early stage, allowing treatment to be administered before clinical symptoms appear. The doctors at Radiologie Baden-Baden have been working with cardio CT, cardio MRI, and myocardial scintigraphy techniques for many years and regularly give lectures on the subject.

Cardiac CT
Cardiac CT is now firmly established in cardiology and European guidelines. Cardiac CT is often used to rule out CHD or coronary artery narrowing and spare patients a purely diagnostic invasive cardiac catheterization examination if they are only at moderate risk of CHD. Cardio MRI
We do not currently perform cardio MRIs at our practice.

Myocardial scintigraphy
Myocardial scintigraphy is often used to assess the heart muscle, particularly its blood flow and possible previous heart attacks. Myocardial scintigraphy is the only one of the three procedures covered by statutory health insurance. Click here to learn more about myocardial scintigraphy ...
